Jenna Johnston received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. Jenna has had a variety of experiences in the field of counseling that have shaped her as a therapist. While in Pittsburgh, she volunteered on the adolescent unit of the UPMC Psychiatric Hospital, did research on infant development and autism in children and adults, and volunteered at a pregnancy care center. At Fuller, Jenna became a full time therapist, working with children with autism and their families. She did her clinical internship at a high school and then worked at a community mental health center where she got to work with couples, families, children, teenagers, and adults. She is a certified Prepare Enrich counselor for couples’ counseling, and she has also begun her certification as a birth doula. Jenna is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, as well as a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Jenna was excited to join the Peacemakers team in 2010, and she is grateful for the opportunity to journey with her clients through the time they share in therapy. She hopes that as a therapist she is able to “comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, and be patient with all” (I Thessalonians 5:14).
