Your Instructor

Lisa MacMain, LSW, MSS

In her work with clients, Lisa’s approach is informed by an understanding of the power of resiliency to shape positive outcomes as we navigate life’s difficult challenges and changes, an observation she first made as she developed and founded YoungMoms, a non-profit that serves pregnant and parenting teens in southern Chester County. She received her Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research and attended Palmer Theological Seminary. Lisa specializes in treating clients with intimate betrayal trauma, unplanned pregnancy, depression, anxiety, attachment issues, childhood trauma, co-dependency and spiritual wounds. Lisa individualizes treatment with each client and draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities, including narrative therapy, trauma-focused CBT, DBT, SFT and EFT and IFS.
