Joy cultivates an environment of hope and healing for all who desire to grow. She provides a non-judgmental therapeutic experience in which you can safely explore your thoughts, desires, and emotions. She incorporates self-compassion, mindfulness, and self-honesty to nourish a renewed sense of being. As a therapist, and educator, Joy has been developing caring and compassionate relationships for over 30 years. Her theoretical approach is person-centered, she has experience working with women with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss. She welcomes all clients and respects those who do not want to include faith in their therapy experience, however, a best fit for Joy is for clients who want to integrate their emotional and spiritual well-being. Joy and her husband have been married for 32 years, have three grown sons, and an empty nest. She enjoys creating beauty, gardens, and an occasional cartoon.
