Julia worked as an economist for 15 years in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. She heeded the call to Christian ministry six years ago and left her career to move with her husband to Germany, and then to Costa Rica. She has worked with families, particularly women, teens, and children in many settings, such as a refugee mission center in Poland, brothels and multinational church communities in Germany, and slums in Costa Rica. She has worked alongside the Red Cross serving the military and refugees that transited through military bases overseas, with a German youth and family center in the local area where she lived, and with missionaries working with impoverished youth in Costa Rica. She loves to walk alongside women and families through their struggles and share with them the love of Christ and the hope in Him. As an immigrant herself, she has a heart for those in similar circumstances. Through these experiences she saw the need to develop professional skills in counseling to be better equipped to help

people. She is now in the U.S. for further training and preparation for when God calls her next. Outside of work Julia enjoys spending time with her family, cooking with her teenage son, and hiking to see the marvelous nature that God created. Julia is also a photographer who has used the gift of photography to bring joy to the children in her ministry.
