Dan believes that no matter what kind of suffering people find themselves in, there are always opportunities to identify strengths and take steps towards growth and healing. He’s walked alongside children, teens, and adults as they’ve navigated incredible difficulties, and he finds great joy in celebrating the small wins in each person’s journey.
Dan is patient, compassionate, and non-judgmental in his care and utilizes a trauma-informed and multi- modal approach that includes CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Strengths-Based Therapy, among others.
Dan has over 10 years of professional experience providing therapeutic services. He currently serves as a school counselor at Lakeside Educational Network. Dan has experience helping people navigate depression, addiction, anxiety, grief, relationship dynamics, decision making, and various other challenges.
Dan believes that mental wellness is intrinsically connected to physical wellness and loves to coach people towards their healthy eating and activity goals.
Dan also is passionate about the connection between mental wellness and spiritual wellness and loves opportunities to provide faith-based counseling within a biblical framework when requested.
Dan and his wife have been married for over 10 years, and they enjoy spending their free time getting movement outside together. Their favorites are trail running, hiking, and mountain biking.
