Joell believes in cultivating an atmosphere of safety, empathy, and empowerment in the counseling room. She leans toward counseling approaches that emphasize developing an awareness of the faulty messages that her clients have received about themselves through various aspects of society. Joell feels her role is to work collaboratively with her clients as they identify and dispel those faulty messages, enabling them to move toward the life they desire. Joell enjoys reading, spending time with family, going to the beach, and communing with God in nature.
