Rebekah Anderson, BA
Master Level Intern
Bekah is a master’s level intern, in her final year of Master of Science in Counseling degree from Cairn University. Throughout her studies, she has worked in various capacities, discipling and mentoring college students in the higher education setting and adolescents in church and ministry settings. Bekah believes that the relationship between counselor and client establishes the environment necessary for real change to happen. She sees her faith as an essential part of her role as a therapist because it helps her to show up with compassion, safety, and curiosity. She values a therapeutic space where the client feels comfortable to process the pain and hardships in their life.
Bekah uses an integrative approach of therapeutic methods but finds herself most often using cognitive behavioral, existential, and gestalt approaches. Her objective is to find what techniques best support her client’s personal experience and equip them to meet their desired goals.
Outside of working with clients, Bekah enjoys working with the middle schoolers at her youth group, spending time with friends and family, and going on walks in God’s creation.
