Susan Milillo, BS
Master Level Intern
Susan was born and raised in a godly Christian home, with a mom and dad, and two older brothers. She
got involved with musical groups all throughout her adolescent years, touring the west coast with a vocal
church group, and joining county band as a flutist. She was involved through various means in children's
ministry. She studied Bible and Counseling at Cairn University, then Philadelphia College of Bible. A couple years after graduation, she got married and had a son. After being a stay at home mom and homeschooling her son throughout high school, as well as working a couple years as a home health aide,
she decided to return to school and get her Masters' degree in Counseling from the same university
(Cairn).
During a stressful time developmentally, immediately following her undergraduate college years, Susan
had an encounter with mental illness as a chain of events resulted in a hospital stay and a bipolar diagnosis. Through regular medications, therapy, and the support of her faith and family, Susan was able
to weather this development relatively smoothly, and eventually was labeled as "in remission." Susan has a compassionate heart towards all who are suffering mentally and emotionally, and wishes to be used to
help others in difficult situations, however alike or dissimilar.
